Abstract

The diagnosis of an endodontic condition requires a thorough examination, incorporating both clinical and radiographic information. The clinical examination involves taking a patient history, visually inspecting the dental element and surrounding tissues, palpating soft and hard tissues, conducting periodontal examination, and assessing percussion. Radiographic examination provides valuable information but should never stand alone in making a diagnosis. It is crucial to correlate the findings of the radiographic examination with other information It is essential to gather information about caries, fractures, restoration leakage, or other reasons for the failure of the initial root canal treatment. A proper diagnosis is essential for planning a successful treatment strategy, it is like a puzzle.
