In our next webinar scheduled for Tuesday September 24, 2024 at 20:00, Dimitrios Tolias an Endodontist, will be covering the topic: “Root Canal Sealers”. This webinar is organized by the Hellenic Association of Endodontists. Attendees will be credited 1,5 CE credits (MEEO) as well as 1,5 CPD credits. The language of the webinar will be Greek.

Abstract

Root canal sealers are an integral part of the filling of the root canal space. They are necessary to seal the space between the dentinal wall and the obturating core interface. Sealers also fill voids and irregularities in the root canal system, lateral and accessory canals and spaces between gutta-percha points used in lateral condensation. Sealers also serve as lubricants during the obturation process. This webinar will provide an overview of all types of sealers and their properties but it will focus on the most commonly used sealers in clinical practice, namely resin-based and bioceramic sealers. Comparisons amongst the two will be made based on the best available evidence from the endodontic literature. The aim of this webinar is to inform clinicians of their options and help the choose the most suitable sealer for their everyday practice.
