Abstract
Over the last decade, technological advancements have introduced new
agitation devices in the field of Endodontics. These devices rely on various mechanisms, such as irritant transfer, soft tissue debridement and removal of smear layers. A significant development is the improved understanding of activating and manipulating
sodium hypochlorite for enhanced effectiveness. This effectiveness is influenced by variables like fluid volume, fluid speed, and cavitation, particularly in small root canal spaces.
The webinar highlights the distinction between manual and machine-assisted
agitation systems. The speaker will share valuable tips and tricks that are proven to enhance canal disinfection and workflow efficiency in the era of minimal invasive Endodontics. Additionally, the discussion will delve into the incidence of hypochlorite complications and explore safe practices for the use of irrigants, aiming not only to reduce the frequency of procedural complications but also to enhance overall treatment safety.
